Building an operating system installer requires a delicate balance: the interface must be inviting and simple, while the underlying logic handles profound system-level operations.
For the TeaLinux OS, I architected the frontend as a lightweight desktop application utilizing Tauri and Svelte. The goal was to discard the heavy footprint of traditional web-wrapped desktop apps.
Through Tauri's command API, the seamless UI-styled precisely with TailwindCSS-communicated directly with the core backend written in Rust. Every button press quietly invoked secure system commands.
Working within a team-based open-source workflow taught me that a good codebase is like a well-kept archive: version-controlled carefully via Git, rigorously reviewed, and built to endure.
“An installer should be a quiet usher, guiding the user into the system without making a scene.
